Position Summary: The Machine Operator operates, monitors, and maintains production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining strict adherence to food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
Description of Duties:
- Operate and monitor food processing and packaging machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Set up machines, including calibration, document completion, and adjustments for different products.
- Ensure production lines meet efficiency, safety, and quality targets.
- Perform routine inspections to identify mechanical issues and report or resolve minor malfunctions.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP standards.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Keep accurate records of production data, machine performance, and downtime.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to address operational issues.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- All other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math and record-keeping skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with automated production lines or packaging equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations).

Work Environment: Food manufacturing facility with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and food ingredients. Must comply with hygiene and sanitation standards, including hairnets, gloves, and uniforms. May require shift work, including nights, weekends, overtime, and travel between facilities.
