We are looking for a dedicated Head Chef (m/f/d) to join our staff restaurant at our headquarters in Salzburg, starting immediately. Our restaurant is more than just a place to eat – it is a place of connection, quality, and appreciation.

Tasks

  • Professional and disciplinary leadership as well as development of the kitchen team, including apprentice training
  • Planning and organization of all workflows to ensure smooth kitchen operations (approx. 200 meals per day)
  • Purchasing and supplier management, including price negotiations and ensuring product quality
  • Compliance with and monitoring of all hygiene and quality standards (HACCP)
  • Continuous development of the menu through creative menu design and new culinary ideas with a focus on sustainability, regionality, and seasonality
  • Conceptualization, organization, and operational execution of in-house events and culinary activities

 

Skills

  • Completed training as a chef and extensive experience as a head chef
  • Additional qualifications (e.g. master chef certification or specializations such as pastry, diet cuisine, vegetarian or vegan cuisine) are an advantage
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in training apprentices
  • Excellent organizational skills and high resilience, especially during peak service times
  • Strong decision-making ability and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
  • Good IT skills (e.g. inventory management systems)
  • Very good German and good English skills
  • Strong hospitality mindset and service orientation
  • Passion for culinary trends and innovation, combined with the ambition to continuously develop
  • Excellent sense for flavors, spices, and highest taste quality

The minimum salary for this position is €4,034.60 gross per month on a full-time basis (38.5 hours). A significant overpayment depending on your qualifications and experience is a matter of course.
